Phil Lees devoted most of his working career, 29 years, to public education – teacher, school board education consultant, university instructor, Ontario Ministry of Education consultant.
In the mid 1990’s, as a result of his 10 year old daughter being exposed to the highly controversial and explicit sexual health curriculum, Phil began to research the curriculum trends and organized a local community parent group that brought forward medically accurate, evidence based information that supported traditional values on human sexual activity. The result… the school board adopted an abstinence-based curriculum, Planned Parenthood was no longer allowed to teach in the schools, and within 2 years teen pregnancies in the City of Hamilton dropped by 22 percent!
Phil’s organization, PEACE Education Services is highly sought after by parent groups in communities across Ontario, United States and all across the globe. Phil will be facilitating the Ontario Sex-Ed Curriculum Seminar
